Formation of patriotism and active citizenship among young Cossack and Cossacks that study military service in military units stationed in Moscow, strengthening the spiritual and moral foundations of Russian Cossacks.

THE PROGRAM OF FESTIVAL HELD

sports competitions and workshops, as well as the traditions and rituals that underline male culture of the Cossacks. The festival held XI Russian Championship on cutting checker, for participation in which came Cossacks from Don, Kuban, Terek and Volga, the Second open Cossack championship on khife throwing, that was judged by world champions in knife throwing, that also held a workshop for spectators.

GUESTS OF THE FESTIVAL COULD TRY

themselves in traditional archery, based on the skills od horse archers, who moved to Cossaks from Sarmatians, Scythians and other people of Steppes. The seminar was conducted by shooting masters from Don steppes of Volgograd region. It was shown how to shoot a bow from different positions and with a reversal. Guests learned to learn the posession of a whip, to take part in the rite mounted on the horse and watch the performance of creative groups.
